Deadhorse Creek Market
Deadhorse Creek Market is a Farmer’s Market offering various farm-fresh products, handmade country crafts, and gifts. It is run by Bill and Ava Hawthorn, a fourth generation a family farm that raises cattle and sheep and grows wheat and alfalfa.
Located along Deadhorse Creek, just 7.5 miles west of Chadron, Neb
Enjoy the wildlife and changing farm landscape on your drive out.
The market’s products come from a 1/2 acre chemical-free garden and includes almost every vegetable that will grow in Northwest Nebraska. Visit often because we only sell vegetables that are in season. You are welcome to stroll through our vegetable garden or enjoy a glass of free iced tea as you sit and relax in our flower and water gardens.
Complete your meal by choosing from a wide variety of homemade jam, jellies and honey.
The market also features craft items by talented local artisans. You’ll find items that would make a wonderful addition to your home, or serve as great gifts.
Our market season begins the third Thursday in June and continues through the third Thursday of October. You can call (308) 432-5266 for an appointment.
Look for our market stand just west of Chadron on Highway 20 across from Hawthorne Road. This serve-yourself market is seasonally available for your convenience and payments can be dropped in the box provided.
